Adventist Church in Sarawak Kicks off Impact Sarawak Campaign themed Jesus Is Coming Soon, Get Involved!

Jesus’ coming has long been a source of hope for believers, a promise of renewal and redemption. His return signifies the ultimate restoration of peace, justice, and love in a world often marked by turmoil. The Nurture, Discipleship, Retention – Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle (NDR-IEL) department has been involved in implementing the Impact for Sarawak program. The Kuching Rural, Bau, and Lundu Districts recently have conducted an evangelistic series from September 3-7, 2024. , and will conclude on September 7, 2024. The campaign brought together 10 churches: Bijuray, Kaman, Belimbin, Skibang, Simpah Bokah, Siluk, Selampit, Sg Pinang, Bumbok, and Semaba.

Through the campaign, a powerful movement of faith and transformation unfolded. Over 50 individuals were baptized during the event, each one taking a profound step toward a renewed life in Christ. This remarkable response highlights the deep spiritual hunger and readiness for change among the people, as the message of hope, love, and redemption through Jesus continues to inspire hearts. The baptisms are a testament to the life-changing impact that the Gospel brings, offering a glimpse of the greater renewal to come with Jesus’ return.

The primary purpose of the Impact Sarawak initiative is to bring more souls to Jesus and prepare them for His second coming. This mission goes beyond just evangelism; it seeks to strengthen the spiritual foundation of the church itself. Impact Sarawak is primarily designed to lead more individuals to Jesus and prepare them for His second coming. This initiative encompasses more than evangelism; it aims to fortify the spiritual foundation of the church.

A central goal of the program is to “reach in.” Engaging and nurturing current church members while equipping them to become effective disciple-makers. By enhancing their spiritual development and providing necessary tools and training, the church is empowering its members to actively engage in ministry. This strategic approach supports the fulfillment of the Great Commission by making disciples of all nations.

Additionally, the campaign is dedicated to reconnecting with individuals who have disengaged from the church. It focuses on extending compassion and support, facilitating their reintegration into the church community, and fostering their spiritual growth. Further, it encourages church members to take an active role in reaching out to fellow believers, acknowledging that spiritual restoration is a collaborative effort.

Pastor Semilee Tajau, President of the Sarawak Mission, stated that through these comprehensive efforts, the campaign fosters the building of a stronger, more spiritually mature church that is both inwardly nurtured and outwardly focused, preparing all for the second coming of Christ.

Lastly, the Impact Sarawak initiative underscores the significance of ongoing growth in one’s relationship with God. It encourages every member to enhance their prayer life, engage in regular Bible study, and live a faith-centered life devoted to Christ. This emphasis on spiritual advancement not only enriches the individual believer’s journey but also equips them to be more effective in both reaching in and reaching out to others.
