Sabah Mission Stewardship Ministries Host Statewide Online Morning Worship 2.0

Sabah Stewardship Ministries organised its second state-wide online worship event; the first was from March 1 to May 31, 2022. The program commenced at the beginning of the year and has been taking place via Zoom and shared on Facebook and YouTube live every morning, beginning at 5 a.m. The program is scheduled to end on March 31.

Like any other worship program, this online event also starts with prayer and praise. Different churches from different regions take turns leading the program. Every day, a different person shares his or her testimony on stewardship and faithful giving, followed by a stewardship message and a special prayer session. The program ends with reflections and discussions from the leaders.

Through encouragement and instructions shared in this initiative, the church hopes to instil in its members a habit of systematic giving by highlighting the value of loyal stewardship. The Adventist Church in Sabah has been doing very well in returning its tithe and offerings. Last year, the church passed its targeted amount. Yet, a significant amount of work needs to be done.

The analytics have shown that participation in the event has been growing, reflecting the success of the strategic plan for Total Member Involvement. Therefore, cultivating the habit of going back to God’s Altar every day, morning and evening, through the readings of the Spirit of Prophecy and the Stewardship Advice Book. “It is our desire to remind the members to return to the altar every morning amid the busyness of life,” declares Pr. Kozel Malim, MAUM, Stewardship Director.

Furthermore, the Stewardship Ministries strive to maintain a firm commitment to promoting awareness and reaffirming the allegiance of members of all ages to the faithful return of tithes and offerings. The ultimate goal is still to help members develop closer, more meaningful relationships in their faith by fostering personal spiritual relationships with God.

The meetings have received more than 4,500 views across six social media platforms since their launch in January. Friends from Peninsular Malaysia, Sarawak Mission, and even MAUM president Pr. Abel Bana and SSD Director of Stewardship, Pr. Jibil Simbah, attended the early morning event. “We are blessed and thankful for the active participation of our leaders at MAUM and SSD,” exclaimed Pr. Justin Ginsud, Sabah Mission Stewardship Director.

The Stewardship Morning Worship is found on the Seventh-day Adventist Mission of Sabah Facebook page. Visit their Facebook page to watch the recording of the worship services. The program is in Bahasa Malaysia.
