The Adventist-laymen\u2019s Services and Industries (ASI) Malaysian chapter gathered for the 2025 Convention, from May 1\u20134 at Hotel 7 Suria, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Themed \u201cCalled to be Faithful,\u201d<\/em> the event brought together over 400 delegates from across Malaysia and neighbouring countries such as Singapore and Thailand. The event was a spiritual milestone for business professionals, educators, and ministry leaders seeking to reflect Christ in the marketplace. The number of attendees surged to over 600 on Sabbath, signalling a deep hunger for spiritual revival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The convention\u2019s spiritual tone was set by keynote speaker Pastor Pavel Goia, Associate Ministerial Secretary of the General Conference and Editor of Ministry Magazine<\/em>. Pastor Goia\u2019s compelling sermons emphasized spiritual victory through unwavering faith, consistent prayer, and a life fully surrendered to Christ. His four-step framework\u2014staying fully in the Lord, committing in prayer, rooting in the Word, and wearing God\u2019s full armor\u2014struck a powerful chord among attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supporting Pastor Goia were Pastor Dr. GT Ng and Elder Ramon and Madam Shandy Tengkano. Dr. Ng, a retired Executive Secretary of the World Church and now a consultant to the White Estate, combined wisdom and humour in his sessions, making profound truths accessible to all. Meanwhile, the Tengkano couple from HCBN Indonesia captivated participants with moving testimonies of divine providence, sharing their remarkable journey from worldly pursuits to passionate ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis convention is more than a program\u2014it is a divine appointment,\u201d said Pastor Abel Bana, President of MAUM, in his opening address. \u201cWe are not just called to succeed, but to be faithful witnesses of Christ in every aspect of life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four-day event was packed with plenary sessions, business workshops, worship services, and personal testimonies. Delegates also participated in the election of the 2026\u20132027 MAUM-ASI Executive Committee and enjoyed vibrant musical concerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elder David Fam, MAUM-ASI President, underscored the urgency of faithfulness in today\u2019s world. \u201cAs we face global instability and spiritual distractions, now more than ever, God is calling His people to unwavering devotion,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the convention concluded, delegates left energized and recommitted to embodying the theme\u2014Called to be Faithful<\/em>\u2014in their lives, careers, and communities. With hearts stirred and spirits revived, they returned home as torchbearers of faith, ready to share Christ in the workplace and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
