The Adventist Church of Peninsular Malaysia, in collaboration with Campus Hope Melaka, hosted a Voice of Youth (VOY) Camp at The Seventh Lodge, Bukit Rambai, Melaka. Themed \u201cRooted Together,\u201d<\/em> this youth-focused spiritual retreat served as a vibrant platform for connection, worship, and spiritual renewal among young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Youth Director Pr. Tan Weoi Siong emphasized the importance of such initiatives, stating, \u201cThe primary objectives of the VOY Camp are centred on nurturing the spiritual and personal growth of young people.\u201d The camp was designed to deepen spiritual roots, encouraging participants to strengthen their relationship with God. At the same time, it promoted unity and teamwork, fostering a Christ-centred lifestyle and empowering youth to become effective disciples and leaders in their churches and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Excitement filled the air as participants arrived late Friday evening, eager to engage, connect, and be spiritually renewed. The camp began with the moving lyrics of the theme song, drawing hearts into a shared experience of worship and a deeper communion with God. Ice-breaking activities quickly dissolved any initial awkwardness, creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere for the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first speaker, Cley Alexius Jarius, delivered a heartfelt message titled \u201cHopes and Dreams,\u201d<\/em> likening dreams to seeds that need the right soil to grow. In response, participants engaged in a reflective activity, discussing and sharing their dreams in small groups. This was followed by a special prayer session where dreams were written down and prayed over, inviting God’s guidance and blessing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding spiritual depth to the evening was the special appearance of the MAUM Youth Director, Elder Farrel Gara. He expressed appreciation to the youth for their commitment, stating, \u201cThe voices of youths need to be heard in our church. You are the future, and you have a big role to play in completing the work here in Malaysia.\u201d The evening ended with a renewed sense of purpose and unity that would carry throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the camp, various speakers shared stories of faith and perseverance, resonating with the everyday struggles of today\u2019s youth. The second speaker, Alisa Mootin said, \u201cI hope my message will be relatable to the listeners as we all experience similar challenges in life.\u201d Additionally, a Town Hall discussion addressing current challenges, alongside a practical workshop on financial management, provided both spiritual and life skills enrichment. Saturday evening brought laughter and friendship through social activities that further strengthened the bonds among participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final day focused on recommitment and empowerment. In a closing session of united prayer, participants pledged to live boldly for Christ, to serve others, and to share His love wherever they go. The VOY Camp concluded on a high note, leaving participants spiritually refreshed, deeply connected, and empowered to serve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than just a weekend event, VOY Camp Rooted Together was a powerful reminder that we are rooted together in faith, united in struggle, and called to a shared purpose. It was in the quiet prayers, the open hearts, and the collective journey that the seeds of transformation were sown\u2014seeds that, by God\u2019s grace, will bear lasting fruit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
